Therapy Intensives

An effecient approach to making meaningful change

Still waiting for a breakthrough?

Maybe you’ve been feeling… stuck
Like you’re going through the motions, but something’s just off.  You’re holding it together on the outside, but underneath, there’s tension, frustration, or just this nagging feeling that life could be better—you’re just not sure how to get there.

Maybe your schedule is packed.
You’ve got a demanding job, irregular hours, or a lot of people counting on you.  Trying to fit therapy into your lunch break doesn’t feel right—there’s no real space to process before jumping back into your day.

Or maybe you are in therapy, but progress feels slow.
You gain a little momentum… then life happens.  You open up during your session, only to tuck it all away again and hold on until next time.

You’re not looking for a quick fix
but you are ready for something to shift

You want more peace.

More clarity. More connection.

And you don’t want to wait months to feel it.

What if you could make real progress in a few days instead of dragging it out week after week?

Introducing
Therapy Intensives

Therapy intensives are a powerful alternative to weekly sessions.

Instead of meeting for an hour each week, you spend more time with your therapist in a shorter window—usually up to hours per day over the course of 1 to 3 days.

This condensed format helps you go deeper, stay more focused, and make meaningful progress without stretching things out over months.

You’re stepping away from daily distractions and setting aside intentional time to work through what’s most important.

It’s a practical, efficient way to create momentum and move forward.

A Different Approach.
A Real Breakthrough.

Therapy Intensives designed
specifically for you

Intensives for Asian Men

You’re facing a decision—

or maybe just a growing sense that something needs to shift. You might feel unsure or uncertain, weighing what you think you should do against what actually feels right.

You’ve started to notice that your current challenges—or the dynamics in your relationships—might be shaped by deeper roots. Maybe it connects to your family’s immigration story, the values you were raised with, or intergenerational patterns that have been passed down.

You’re looking for clarity. You want to better understand how your family experiences and cultural background influence how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how you move through the world.

A therapy intensive can offer the focused space to build that self-knowledge—  so you can feel more confident and competent to make the important decisions in life.

Intensives for Couples

Something doesn’t feel quite right in your relationship.

There’s tension between you, and you’re not sure how to fix it.

Conversations have become fewer— and when something’s bothering you, it feels easier to stay quiet than risk another argument.

Still, you miss the closeness and you want to get back to feeling like a team again.

Couples who come to intensives often feel the same way. They want to understand what’s not working—and how to change it. They’re ready to break the patterns that keep them stuck and find their way back to each other.

A therapy intensive gives you the space to slow down, reconnect, and understand each other more deeply—so you can start rebuilding the connection you both want.

Intensives for Healthcare Professionals

You’re feeling the weight of stress and burnout.

The long hours, constant pressure, and mental overload are catching up with you—and it’s starting to spill into your personal life.
You try to relax, to be present, to enjoy the people and moments that matter most. But it’s hard to turn it off. The stress follows you home, and some days, it feels nearly impossible to feel like yourself.

People who care about you have mentioned getting support. It keeps coming up. And lately, you’ve been wondering if it’s time to focus on yourself for a change.

You want to find a better way—to recharge, reconnect, and create space for both your work and your relationships to thrive.

A therapy intensive offers relief and clarity—quickly. It can help you shift out of survival mode so you can stop just getting through the day—and start fully living again.

How Does a Therapy Intensive Work?

  •  Once you decide to move forward, your intensive is reserved by signing a consent form and making a payment for the initial deposit.

  • You’ll complete a set of intake forms and assessments designed to help us dive deeper, faster. These are due one week before your intensive begins.

  • Show up for a powerful, focused day of therapy. With up to 5 hours of dedicated support each day, you’ll have the time and space to do meaningful work and make real progress.

FAQs About Therapy Intensives

  • The main difference is the structure and pace of the work.

    • Weekly therapy is typically one 50-minute session per week. It offers consistent support over time and works well for ongoing growth, maintenance, or less urgent concerns.

    • Intensive therapy is a longer, concentrated session—often several hours in one day or across a few days. It’s designed for deeper, faster progress, especially when you’re feeling stuck, facing a major challenge, or ready to do focused work in a shorter period of time.

Intensives give you uninterrupted time to dig in, make meaningful breakthroughs, and build momentum. Weekly therapy gives you space to reflect and integrate over time. Both are effective—it just depends on your goals and needs.

  • Individuals and couples who want to address issues more quickly or deeply than weekly sessions allow. Intensives are especially helpful if you're feeling stuck, navigating a major life event, or facing a crisis or turning point.

  • Couples therapy intensives are a focused, accelerated approach to relationship counseling. Instead of weekly 50-minute sessions, an intensive condenses months of therapy into a single day or weekend. This model allows you to address core issues more efficiently, without the start-stop nature of traditional therapy.

For many couples, life is already overwhelming—between work deadlines, parenting responsibilities, and the mental toll of unresolved conflict. If you're:

    • Struggling to concentrate at work because of ongoing tension at home

    • Feeling emotionally flooded, anxious, or exhausted

    • Experiencing high conflict, poor communication, or deep disconnection

    • Dealing with a rupture (such as infidelity or broken trust)

    • Facing issues that have built up over time without meaningful resolution

...a couples intensive offers a structured, effective way to reset.

During an intensive, we will work together to:

    • Identify and understand patterns that keep you stuck

    • Learn tools for communication, regulation, and repair

    • Address painful dynamics in real-time, with professional support

    • Clarify how to move forward—whether together or separately—with greater confidence and care

If your relationship feels like it’s reached a breaking point, or you simply don’t have the time to chip away at problems week after week, a therapy intensive can provide the focused attention and momentum you need to create lasting change.

  • That depends on your goals, the urgency of your situation, and how you define “worth it.”  If you’re in a relationship where:

    • The same arguments repeat without resolution

    • Emotional connection is strained or missing

    • You're unsure whether the relationship can continue, but want to give it a real chance

    • A recent rupture (like infidelity or betrayal) has created crisis

    • You feel like you don’t have time to spend months in weekly therapy hoping things improve

…then yes, a marriage intensive can absolutely be worth the investment.

    Here’s why:

    • Efficiency: Instead of spending 3-6 months in weekly sessions, intensives give you hours of uninterrupted support in a single day or weekend. You get clarity and progress faster.

    • Depth: You’re not just skimming the surface. You’ll dive deep into communication patterns, emotional triggers, and unresolved pain—with real-time feedback and guidance from your therapist.

    • Cost-Effectiveness: While the up-front cost is higher than a standard session, the value comes from how much ground you cover. Many couples find that one intensive gives them the insight and tools they were hoping to gain over months of traditional therapy.

    • Structure: A well-designed intensive isn’t just a longer session. It’s a carefully structured experience—often with prep work, a clear agenda, and follow-up recommendations to ensure long-term impact.

That said, intensives aren’t for everyone. If one partner isn’t willing to participate fully, or if there’s active abuse or untreated addiction, ongoing therapy may be more appropriate first.

But for many couples in distress—or at a turning point—an intensive offers focused support, accelerated insight, and a real opportunity for change. If you're asking this question, there’s probably something important in your relationship that deserves that kind of space.

  • There’s no single, definitive percentage that applies to all couples, because outcomes vary widely depending on several factors: the type of therapy used, the couple’s level of commitment, how early they seek help, and the skill of the therapist. That said, here’s what the research tells us:

    • Research on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—a well-studied model—shows that about 70–75% of couples move from distress to recovery, and 90% show significant improvement.

    • Other therapy models, like the Gottman Method, also report strong outcomes when both partners are engaged and the issues are not deeply entrenched.

    • If both partners are invested and therapy is started before things hit rock bottom, the chances of healing and staying together are significantly higher.

    • If one or both partners are emotionally checked out, or therapy is seen as a last-ditch effort, the likelihood of staying together decreases—but therapy can still offer clarity and closure.

Couples therapy isn’t magic—but when it’s timely, well-structured, and taken seriously, it can be incredibly effective.

  • They give you dedicated time and space to go deeper, stay focused, and process without the usual interruptions of daily life or weekly scheduling gaps. Many people report feeling clearer, more connected, and more resourced—faster.

  • If you're seeking faster progress, facing a pressing issue, or want to dive deeper without interruptions, an intensive might be a better fit. It’s also a good option if weekly therapy hasn’t been moving the needle.

  • Intensives are private pay, but I can provide a superbill if your insurance offers out-of-network reimbursement. Check with your insurance representative to confirm the details of your specific plan.
